Computer: A Smart Machine
Computer is an electronic machine
that makes our work easier and faster.
Different machines do different types
of work. Most machines are dedicated
machines that can do only one type of
work. But, computers can do various
tasks like draw and colour pictures, do
calculations, write letters, play movies, teach lessons, play music, check
spellings, prepare budgets and maintain the accounts.
Working of a Computer
As you know, computer is also a machine. It works on the principle of IPO
cycle. IPO cycle stands for Input-Process-Output cycle . In IPO cycle, data and
instructions are entered into the machine. They are processed and finally the
result is given out.
