This is a number line.

The number line help us to ‘add’.

If we want to add one number then we jump one step at a

time.

If we want to add one number then we take a jump as per

the number of steps.

First we take a jump from 0 to 3.

Then we jump two more steps and reach 5.

3 + 2 = 5
