                                         Division

Kelly had four pups. She had 12 biscuits. She wanted to divide them equally
            among the pups.

First kelly gave 1 biscuit to each puppy. Total 4 biscuits were given.

                                           Biscuits left = 12 – 4 = 8

Again she gave 1 biscuit to each puppy. Total 4 biscuits were given.

                                           Biscuits left = 8 – 4 = 8
                                                                0

Then she gave 1 biscuit more to each Puppy. Total 4 biscuits were given.

                                                                0
                                           Biscuits left = 4 – 4 = 0

            Thus, 12 – 4 – 4 – 4 = 0 (repeated subtraction)

            Each puppy got (1 + 1 + 1) = 3 biscuits.

            We write it an 12 ÷ 4 = 3

            We can also write 12 – 3 – 3 – 3 – 3 = 0 (repeated subtraction)

Let us arrange 30 flower in 6 vase

Put 1 flower in each vase. .......................... (1)

                                             flower left = 30 – 6 = 24

Put 1 flower more in each vase. .......................... (2)

                                             flower left = 24 – 6 = 18
