DIVISION AS REPEATED SUBTRACTION
Tom had 12 pencils. He shared his pencils with his 3 friends. He divided 12
pencils into 1 + 3 = 4 equal groups. He had to find how many 4’s are there in 12.
For this he went on subtracting 4 from 12.
