PLANE SHAPE

A plane shape/surface extends exdlessly in length and breadth. In daily life a
part of a plane is also called a plane. For example table top, paper sheet, floor,
roof and wall.

Figure around a plane surface are called plane figures. The common plane

surface or figures are square, rectangle, triangle and circle.

Square

vertex
A square has 4 sides all of equal length. A square has 4
side
vertices.

Rectangle

vertex
A rectangle has 4 sides. Opposite sides of a rectangle are
side
equal to each other in length. A rectangle has 4 vertices.

Triangle
vertex
A triangle has 3 sides. These sides may be equal or
side
unequal in length. A triangle has 3 vertices.

Circle

A circle has a curved edge and a curved surface. A

circle has no side and no vertex.
