In a computer system, there are three main input devices. These devices are
mouse, keyboard and scanner. These devices are used to input data into a

computer.

Mouse
In the previous classes, we have learnt about the mouse

and its uses. It is a very important device in working with

Windows. It makes the work easier. Now, let’s recall

what we have already read about the mouse.

The mouse is a very small device. It slides on a smooth surface. The mouse is a

pointing device and is used to give commands to the computer. The mouse is

also an input device. It is a hand-held pointing device that allows us to control

the computer without having to type in instructions on the keyboard. Usually

the mouse has two buttons– one on the left side and another on the right side.

The mouse is kept on a thin rectangular object that looks like

a writing pad. It is called a mouse pad . You can point to

things on the computer screen with the mouse arrow.
